Not Your Mama's Meatballs!

These meatballs will be a hit in your house, and may even be better than your Mama’s meatballs. One taste of these simply delicious little bites, and they could well become your go to recipe.


6 slices of bacon | 1 onion | 1 Tbsp Olive Oil | 2 tsp Sage | 1 tsp ground paprika | 1/8 tsp salt | 1/8 tsp pepper | 1 lb minced lamb


4 Cups fresh tomatos diced | 1 tsp basil | 1/8 tsp salt | 1/8 tsp pepper

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In a medium pan on medium high heat fry onion (diced) and bacon (diced) in oil for 5 minutes or until onion is tender. Add the sage (minced), paprika, salt, and pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and allow to cool.

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooled bacon mixture, egg, and minced lamb, mix well.

Roll the lamb mixture into 12 balls and place onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 30–40 minutes or until well-cooked.

To make the sauce, place diced tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized pan and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Add the cooked meatballs and simmer gently for a further 10 minutes. Serve.
